Two design traditions, One collection

Italian design spotlight

Italian design

  • Form-first: the housing is designed either to disappear or to sculpt light as an object in its own right
  • Smaller footprints and tighter tolerances, with sculpted die-cast bodies
  • Finished in brass and refined tones — Corten, black, brass, white
  • Suited to placements where the fixture itself is seen: courtyards, entries, retail façades
American production design spotlight

American / production design

  • Function-first: engineered for volume installation, straightforward specification, and easy replacement
  • Simpler housings optimized for consistent output and lower cost per fixture
  • Executed in extruded and cast aluminum with standardized mounting
  • Suited to placements where the fixture recedes into the landscape: campuses, municipal sites, large parks

Materials: Built for the Outdoors

Die-cast aluminum

Die-cast aluminum

  • Lightweight relative to its strength, simplifying mounting and reducing structural load
  • Naturally corrosion-resistant, with further protection from powder coating or anodizing
  • The standard specification across most of the collection, balancing cost against durability
316 stainless steel

316 stainless steel

  • The marine-grade stainless standard, valued for its molybdenum content, which resists pitting from salt air and chlorides
  • Heavier and more costly than aluminum, specified where the environment demands it — coastal, poolside, or high-corrosion industrial sites
  • Retains finish and structural integrity longer than aluminum in aggressive environments

Both materials are available across the full color and finish range — Black, Brass, Corten, Grey,
and White — so material choice does not limit design flexibility.

How they’re made: one facility, start to finish

Die-casting, step by step

Every aluminum housing in this collection begins as raw metal, not a finished shape.

Melting
01

Melting

Aluminum ingots, typically a 12# / ADC12-grade casting alloy chosen for corrosion resistance and its ability to fill thin-walled forms, are melted in a furnace.

Injection
02

Injection

The molten aluminum is injected under high pressure into a hardened steel mold.

Cooling
03

Cooling

The casting solidifies within seconds under continued pressure, producing the density and structural strength that distinguish die casting from sand casting.

Trimming
04

Trimming

Excess metal, or flash, left along the mold seams is removed.

Machining
05

Machining

Mounting points, threads, and optic seats are CNC-machined to the tolerances the optical system requires.

Finishing
06

Finishing

Housings are sanded, sealed, and finished in the specified color.

Custom molded shapes

Custom-molded forms give outdoor lighting greater flexibility in shape, scale, and integration while maintaining the performance required for exterior environments.

Testing & Quality Control

Every fixture is tested before it leaves the facility — not sampled, not spot-checked.

Incoming inspection

Raw materials and components are checked before production.

In-process inspection

Fixtures are checked at each production stage.

Final inspection

Every finished unit is inspected before it ships.

In-house lab testing

IP rating test

Thermal shock test

Environmental stress test

Distribution & Optics: What the terms mean

Beam distribution and optics comparison

Beam Angle: Choosing the right throw

Distance and subject size determine beam angle.

Narrow beams (10–20°) suit tall, narrow subjects — columns, single trees, statues — or long throw distances

Wide beams (44°+) suit broad, flat subjects — walls, ground planes, hedges — or short throw distances

A single housing accepts multiple optics, allowing different lenses to be specified per location while keeping the fixture consistent across a project, even as the beam requirement changes

Adjustable Beam Direction

Every fixture in this collection rotates and tilts on-site after mounting. This matters for several reasons:

Light source

Every fixture in this collection uses an LED light source; no legacy lamp types are specified. This delivers several practical advantages:

No relamping — the light source is rated for the fixture’s full service life

Lower heat output, reducing risk to nearby foliage and building material

Instant-on operation at full brightness, with no warm-up period

Availability across standard color temperature ranges, allowing a project to hold one consistent white point from spotlights through the rest of its site lighting

Power & Output

Wattage is specified per fixture and per optic. The same housing is available across a range of wattages, allowing output to be matched to distance and subject without changing the fixture family.

Exact lumen output is optic- and CCT-dependent, and is published per SKU on each spec sheet — output varies by beam angle and driver.

Typical tiers across the collection

16–33W+

A full power range within a single housing family, from garden-scale to high-power housings.

Dimming Options

The collection is designed to integrate with a site’s existing control system rather than requiring a new one.

TRIAC / ELV

Standard phase-cut dimming for residential and light commercial installations.

0–10V

Smooth, flicker-free dimming suited to commercial-scale projects.

DALI

Addressable and individually controllable, the standard for large or zoned commercial sites.

DMX (RGBW)

Full color and intensity control for show, seasonal, or branded lighting scenes.

Accessories

Ground spikes and stake mounts

Ground spikes and stake mounts

Tree mount belts

Tree mount belts

Non-invasive mounting that will not girdle the trunk as it grows.

Pole and wall brackets

Pole and wall brackets

For façade and structural mounting.

Glare shields and honeycomb louvers

Glare shields and honeycomb louvers

Controlling spill and glare without reducing output.

Color filters and lenses

Color filters and lenses

Allowing beam angle or color to be adjusted without replacing the fixture body.

What sets us apart

Vertical Integration

Running the full process in-house — tooling, casting, machining, electronics, and finishing — rather than distributing it across outside subcontractors delivers three concrete advantages:

Get Specification Support
Vertical integration detail 01

Machined flange, reamed bolt holes and a seated gasket — tolerance and finish quality visible in a single frame.

Vertical integration detail 02

Cutting our own tooling in-house means no waiting on an outside toolmaker between order and first unit.

Vertical integration detail 03

Hundreds of housings from one mold — dimensional repeatability is what holds a spec to the five-hundredth unit.

Questions & Answers

Narrow beams (10–20°) throw light further and highlight a single subject, while wide or flood beams (44°+) wash a broader area, such as a wall or hedge line, at shorter range.

Yes. Every fixture in this collection rotates and tilts on-site, allowing aim to be adjusted as trees grow or plans shift.

Yes. The collection supports TRIAC/ELV, 0–10V, and DALI, as well as DMX for RGBW color control, allowing integration with most existing site control systems.

Die-cast aluminum is appropriate for most projects. 316 stainless steel should be specified for coastal, poolside, or other high-corrosion environments where salt or chlorides are present.

Soft light is not a beam angle but a diffused, glow-style output intended for ambient fill rather than a defined beam edge, used for comfort lighting rather than object highlighting.

Yes. Italian-style housings prioritize sculpted form and finish for visible, design-forward placements, while production-style housings prioritize consistency and cost efficiency for large-scale, volume installations. Both are produced in the same facility.
